01 / FREECELL GUIDE

Move every card to the foundations.

FreeCell is a solitaire game using 52 cards and no jokers. Complete four foundations, one per suit, in the order A, 2, 3 … 10, J, Q, K. Planning the order of moves matters more than moving quickly.

Foundations build up in one suit. This differs from the alternating colors in the tableau.

02 / FREECELL GUIDE

Learn the three areas.

Deal all cards face up into eight columns: four columns of seven and four of six. There is no stock to draw from.

You can move an exposed end card. To move a buried card, first clear the cards in front or move it as part of a correctly ordered sequence.

03 / FREECELL GUIDE

Build down in alternating colors.

In the tableau, place a black card one rank lower on a red card, or a red card one rank lower on a black card. Hearts and diamonds are red; spades and clubs are black. Exact suits do not need to match.

You may place ♥7 on ♠8.

♠8 → ♥7 → ♣6 is a legal sequence. ♠8 → ♣7 is invalid because both are black; ♠8 → ♦6 skips a rank.

An empty free cell takes one available card. Any rank—not just a king—may start an empty tableau column.

04 / FREECELL GUIDE

Use empty spaces to move a sequence.

An ordered sequence can move together, but its length is limited. Think of the app as combining the single-card moves you could make using temporary spaces.

With two empty free cells and no empty columns other than the destination, you may move up to three ordered cards. Move ♠8, ♥7, ♣6 onto ♦9.

Maximum = (empty free cells + 1) × 2 to the power of usable empty columns. An empty destination column does not count as a temporary column. The sequence and destination must also be legal.

05 / FREECELL GUIDE

Practise a legal move.

You want to move an exposed ♥6 to another tableau column. Which exposed card can receive it?

♣7 — Correct. A red 6 goes on a black 7: opposite color, exactly one rank lower.

♦7 — Not legal: ♦7 and ♥6 are both red.

♠8 — Not legal: 8 to 6 skips a rank.

06 / FREECELL GUIDE

The goal and what to do when stuck.

Clear the game by moving all 52 cards to the foundations. There are no opponents or scoring combinations to beat.

The app also tracks moves and time. If stuck, revisit choices with undo or inspect an available move with a hint. Do not assume every deal is solvable; automatic moves do not guarantee a solution.

07 / FREECELL GUIDE

Learn by trying moves in the app.

In Asomana Card Games, select a card and tap its destination. Undo, redo, and hints help you explore moves and learn from them.

The default automatic foundation setting is “safe only.” It moves eligible cards judged safe. Undo and redo are available while the game is in progress.

The four FREE slots at the upper left hold one temporary card each.

2

The four suit-marked slots at the upper right are foundations, built from A to K.

3

The eight central columns are the tableau. Move exposed cards or ordered sequences at their ends.

4

Top controls provide undo, redo, hints, and Save and exit.

08 / FREECELL GUIDE

Keep some space to work.

Before filling every free cell, think about how to move those cards out again. Empty columns help you move longer sequences. Uncovering buried aces and low cards is a useful starting plan.

Must an empty column start with a king?

No. Any rank can start an empty column in this app. Moving a sequence still requires enough temporary space.

Does a hint guarantee a solution?

A hint suggests an available move. It does not guarantee the best move or a complete solution.

Are game numbers shared with other apps?

The same number reproduces a deal within this app. It need not match the same number in another product.
